About the artist

Melia Kalani is a Seattle based artist merging the realm of figurative realism with her love of ecology. Her work explores both the science and symbolic mythology of the natural world and highlights humanity's inherent role within it. Melia Graduated from the KOH Contemporary Atelier in 2025, focusing on large scale, figurative drawing and painting. Her latest body of work, Biophilia explores themes of biomimicry, camouflage, reconnection to land and bodies, ecological metaphors and challenges to human supremacy.
